web: Global Climate Action Summit Scavenger Hunt microsite

Civic Edge Consulting for the SFCTA

One of Civic Edge Consulting’s clients, SFCTA, requested a microsite scavenger hunt for the 2018 Global Climate Action Summit in San Francisco. With the purpose of highlighting local public transportation, the primary audience was attendees of the GCAS and transportation enthusiasts. Since the site was geared primarily towards mobile use, I chose a simple, responsive Wordpress theme and customized the web graphics and CSS for a playful, easy to use feel. I also designed corresponding social media collateral for site promotion. Participants could access clues on the site, and then post photos to social media tagged #GCASscavengerHunt to win prizes from sixteen different local merchants. In the week that the scavenger hunt took place - from Monday, September 10 to Friday, September 14 - the microsite received 1,158 unique visitors and 2,571 views. Additionally, a total 846,263 accounts were reached and 1,594,803 impressions were made through the two Twitter ads.
